MOWICOM - Centre for Mobile and Wireless Communications
MOWICOM is a research centre for mobile and wireless communications within the institute of electrical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt.
The centre was founded by Prof. Dr. Michael Kuhn in 2011. The focus is on research, implementation, and optimization of algorithms and software defined radio (SDR) architectures for mobile and wireless communication systems.
The centre is equipped with a variety of cutting-edge measurement and simulation tools, like a 5G base station simulator, a signal analyzer, high-speed oscilloscopes various test mobiles and diagnostic tools for 4G and 5G networks and WLANs. The centre also owns different fast prototyping hardware for software defined radio implementations.
